Founded in 2013, Pretty Smart® was born from a personal mission: to create stylish, nickel-free earrings that don’t irritate sensitive ears. After years of painful reactions to metal earrings, I began handcrafting plastic post earrings for myself and my daughter. To our surprise, we could wear them comfortably all day—without redness, itching, or irritation.

When my oldest daughter chose not to pierce her ears, I searched for a comfortable alternative. That’s when I discovered clear, lightweight clip-ons that were gentle enough for everyday wear. This inspired the creation of our Smart Earring™ line, featuring both plastic post and invisible clip-on earrings designed for anyone with metal sensitivities or non-pierced ears.
